What does Gurucool do?

GURU

Guru is someone who is willing to impart their knowledge to Learners for a reward. Guru can also be a Learning Companion.

LEARNER

Learner is someone who has strong desire to learn and willing to reward Guru for the lesson or learning companionship.

GURUCOOL

Gurucool takes a small cut of 4.9% from the reward payment made to Guru for making this relationship possible. We charge a nominal handling fee of 2.9% for each invoice paid by Learner.

What is possible through our platform?

  • Learn and practice a foreign language, music, yoga, physical fitness, cooking skills, communication skills etc.
  • Find a learning companion for singing practice, practice dance moves, discuss business idea, find assignment solutions, brainstorm, or have intellectual intercourse to kill boredom.
  • Provide home tuition to school students

How do you agree to terms?

Discuss to agree on the scope of the lesson and payment terms directly.

  • Fixed Price: Create milestones for the lesson and set due dates and amount to be paid for each milestone.
  • Hourly: Define the hourly rate and generate invoices weekly for the hours of lesson delivered.

Can I teach or learn for Free?

Yes, you can!

As a Guru, if you are not expecting a payment, you can simply nominate your charge as $0. As a Learner, it is up to you whether or how much you want to pay your Guru who is not expecting a payment.
